ok well I bought a SPEC 2+ and I dropped in a 2004 sohc Dodge neon trany. I am just curious has anyone gotten clutch shatter? because when ever I put it on first it sounds and feels like rattling noise when i let the clutch go and it only does it on first gear is that normal? or could it be the trany? or clutch?

I also put a new solid shifter bushings and the first gear and 2 seems to be kinda sticky like when i pump the clutch sometimes they dont go in smooth sometimes and sometimes they do any ideas on what it could be?

(to the bold) Might happen with spec ;), but I'm sure that you are talking about clutch chatter.

You can search around for my low opinion on Spec (based on personal experience and others' experiences), so I would not be surprised if it is the clutch.

Do you have a non-modular in there? Could be the flywheel if so.

Do you have good motor mounts? Bad mounts could cause this.

Any differnece on the "feel" of the clutch on your foot (do you have to double clutch to disengage)? If you disconnected your hydraulics at any point in the install, you may have some air in the system.

Also, check the eyelets on your trannny shift levers.

K well The "feel" of the clutch seems to me almost the same as stock.

I have stock motor mounts:D

The clutch is MODULAR.

I dont have to double clutch to disengage.

Also I didn't disconnect any Hydraulic lines

Also sorry for the dumb question but what is the EYELETS on my trany?

Also i noticed that when I was putting the 04 neon trany the two shifters on the trany i dont know what they are called but the shifter cables go on top of them. well anyways the neons are shorter than the 1997 eclipse trany would that effect it?
