Hey guys i was wondering, since they seem to be redilly available, at least around here, if a 4g64 block from an 03 Galant would bolt up to a 4g63 DOHC head? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. These cars come with an sohc head from the factory, so im weary to go pick up a block and find out the hard way. Thanks in advance for any input.

I do believe that there is a memeber on this site that built his 2.4 from an 3rd generation Eclipse 4G64 and said that it is just a typical seven bolt. I'll look for the thread and post, but no promises, I looked for it just the other day and could not find it.

Okay, if you search for 2.4, 4G64, or anything related, you will get a bunch of threads that don't answer your question. I do remember seeing that post, I hope that I am not mistaken. Check out the 3G sites and see if you can deduce anything from that. I was looking at a 3G GS last week and the blocks look identical from the outside, but I wouldn't take some guys word for it that they are in fact identical.
