Okay ... I replaced my coolant temp sensor and im still not getting any reading ( DSMLink coolant temp stays at 40F ) .... my coolant gauge in the car works fine but the ecu is reading nothing which is really screwing up my world ... this is presumably preventing my 02 from cycling and thus I can't even touch my fuel trims - they all read 0%

- As a sidenote, I just replaced my front 02 maybe two months ago and when the car gets to operating temp, however the voltage pegs to 1.1v at operating temp and does not move from this point on .... could it be my 02 sensor? or is it simply PIG rich because the ecu thinks my car is cold and just dumps fuel ....

Any ideas????

THanks

Sounds like the car is in cold start mode because of not seeing a coolant temp change.

Dumb question: you did replace the correct sensor......there are 2 coolant temp sensors, one that feeds the guage in the cluster and a different one that feeds the ECU?

Are you pretty sure or are you positive that you replaced the correct one? There are 3 sensors on the thermostat housing. One is at the top which monitors coolant temp to control A/C. There is a single wire sender for the guage cluster. And there is a sensor also at the bottom with a black connector L shaped if i believe that sends temp to the ECU. If you remove the connector it has two male spades that are exposed. Also double check the connector harness as I have seen the wires get pulled out time and time again. Let us know.
