02 housing bolts!!

CAn some one please tell me the size on the o2 housing bolts!? I need new ones and cant pull them out at the time to see. I would like the size and thread pattern and all that jaz so I can to go napa and get new ones ### slowboys $7.00 a peace seams a bit ridiculous. Also any tricks to getting the back ones in and out? THANK!

um, the stock bolts are treated and hardened so as to not strip and break with the heat cycles that are caused by a turbo. I couldnt honestly say i would tell you to go get some bolts at napa. i would suggest just buying the slowboy ones because they are factory specs.

The Napa bolt will work but for how long is the question. Do it right do it once.

I agree with all of you, but let me just throw something out there...

For us non-turbo guys who install a kit, finding the proper bolts can be a problem sometimes. Most have done well by just going to hardware stores and getting the bolts.

While most automotive grade bolts are about grade eight, 10mm fine-threads are extremely difficult to find in anything other than grade five. The grade fives have worked fine for most of us for years.

Personally, my grade five bolts have been holding up strong for one year now. Besides the availability issues, I rationalized my decision with the fact that grade eights or tens are more likely to shear rather than stretch in extreme circumstances. I asked a few local experts and they concurred; it would be less catastrophic for a bolt to stretch than break altogether in this case.

I would advise getting the OE parts from a dealer if at all possible; however, they will probably be extremely expensive and many dealers don't even carry them (none in my area had them).

Ill get ones that are already heat treated. They have a whole section of treated bolts. THanks for the size!
