I cant remember when i saw a stock im
I know it! This car only has 64k miles and was mostly stock. I kinda decided to keep the theme of a stock appearing car. I want to try and slowly add parts as if I bought it brand new LOL it’s how imagine the early/mid 2000s were like but with modern tech 😂

The first outing was at the shootout this year, the car did pretty well and held up to all of the abuse. My best pass at the shootout was a 12.78 @ 111 MPH with a 1.8 60'. I made 4 passes at the shootout all were in the 13's trying to get comfortable with the car. Overall I'm pretty happy with the car so far and plan on turning it up as I get better at driving LOL. This pass was 24 psi out of the green!

A week after the shootout I decided to leave the tune in the car alone and work on the driver mod a bit tonight at Empire Dragway in NY. I didn't have the smoothest 1-2 I've had but I really focused on the 60' and let the car do its thing and managed a 1.70 60'. Made a PB pass! 12.50 @ 110MPH. So far I've been improving each time I make a pass at the track I shaved quite a bit off the 60' and have been consistent 109-111MPH on the trap. I know these aren't big numbers and isn't impressive these days but for a very simple budget/bolt on build this thing is so fun! Oskim Performance and I have decided to turn the car up a bit and see what 30 ish PSI will do on the green both passes tonight were still 22-24psi. The goal is still an 11 second pass!

That was your dsm at the shootout I saw a few of us Paul and dusty and pjj and the Morrisons.
Yes, also my first time ever racing at the shootout! I usually drive my X from Buffalo for the last 10 years or so and decided it was time to start racing, and man I'm so glad I did!

I remember years ago absolutely roasting that clutch one time on a launch attempt LOL, rode the clutch so bad after taking it home immediately afterwards i could still smell burnt clutch walking into the house LOL, after letting the car sit a couple days it still held like a champ!

I'd be lying if I said the clutch wasn't a bit smelly after the shootout LOL. Even after the couple passes at Empire too but my wife and I drove the car about 150 miles today and it was just fine and most importantly didn't smell haha!

Dude if your interested I’ll give you my old sbc 2700/ceramic clutch for free if you want it, only 1400miles street use :thumb:
I’ll keep that in mind! So far I haven’t had any actual engagement issues with the clutch, I think on pump gas I’m kind of at the max for my time slips anyway. So I’ll probably use the rest of this clutch until it starts to slip. I’m undecided on the next steps with the car. Maybe try E85 and see what I can do with this internally gated green. Or maybe upgrade to both E85 and an externally gated red.
