Here's a picture of all the nasty. It's most definitely transfercase fluid because it smells like baby diaper. My oil is still full and my transmission and power steering are red which it is not.

You do run the breather bulb don't you? Are you getting the fluid so hot that it is expanding a lot?

Could be a worn yoke on the driveshaft.

Do a search and you'll find plenty of info on it.

Yes I do, and the transfercase I just got is doing the same exact thing. I don't see any drip hanging from the yoke is the thing. It's just so wet up on the front subframe. I'm running 75-90 in the transfer case, do you think it's expanding that bad? Even on a short cruise it's just soaked everywhere.

Put a rubber band and ‘diaper’ around the vent bulb, drive it a bit, and see if it ‘fills up’. Make sure it’s secured, and doesn’t get hang up on the driveshaft.

(Note: this is a voluntary suggestion, as I have never done this on any vehicles. )

Oh great idea maybe ill use a plastic bag and maybe a zip tie? I could make sure it doesn't fall on the exhaust or driveshaft. That'll rule out that breather, I did buy a brand new one just because it was available and I like new.

How are you filling it?

Jackstands in the front and rear, but that's not to say it's not as level as it could be.

Well I put the little bag on the breather and it's definitely not that so it has to be the rear yoke. I just dont understand how both leak there unless it's that bad? The one I threw in has a newer seal.

Guess I should've clarified. I've seen somebody stand a case up and fill it and try to put it on a car. Obviously you're not doing that.

Oh yeah sorry it was in the car both times. That's crazy how it can sling fluid up through that small crack in between the firewall and subframe.

Did you look into this yet?

I just went ahead and bought a brand new yoke. I havent checked mine out but that definitely sounds like the problem. Sprayed the same with both transfer cases. I'll have the new yoke by this next week and I'll update this when It's fixed just to confirm.

I'm hoping this is from my leak but my finger doesn't catch any groove. It's super smooth it just looks bad but I'm still crossing my fingers that this is the problem.

That doesn't look like enough to cause a problem, is it leaking from the back of the freeze plug? Transmission output shaft seal to input of the transfer case? Loose halfshaft bracket bolts or damaged halfshaft bearings causing the leak to come from the driver side axle seal on the transmission? The other pictures don't show that much to give an indicative location from where the oil is being sprayed everywhere.

It actually is almost worse after I swapped transfer cases. It's the nastiest leak I've dealt with. My other transfer case had new seals and it was still spraying everywhere. So the last thing I can think of is that yoke?

Any update? Ive got a leak I think from the Yolk Seal been trying to find a thread for it, from what I see they don’t make em anymore and everyone uses sealer to stop the leak

Have you replaced the seal? Old yoke can be cleaned up and seal the plug. The recall has been over for decades and you are correct the parts are gone.

I have not, trying to find the guide to do it but I’m new to the forum. Had my gsx for a month now. Im sure thats what it is, I can see where the driveshaft has slung fluid up onto the undercarriage.

For what type of sealant, how much, and whether to drop the driveshaft or the transfer case are my main questions.

No need to drop driveshaft. Most of used some silicone smeared on the back of the plug. Just tried to keep it off the ujoint. As far as tcase seal I always dropped the tvase only because its messy and its easier to do on the bench.
