The Ford 8.8" is a solid unit. Far better than the 7.5" unit in terms of building boost and towing capacity. Hopefully someone can benefit from this.

My 4 cylinder Ranger was swapped from a 7.5" to an 8.8" at some point. I wasn't aware at first, but I can definitely tell a difference in terms of gear ratio, especially when pulling/towing or choosing when to shift into overdrive. I know it will last a bit longer too.

That powdercoating looks great as well.
