Ok, if you could choose any BOV to use on a blow though set up, and the price didn't matter what would you recommend using? I'm looking at either a greddy type rs or hks ssqv but I want some other opinions.

well if youre going blow through the best you can get out of the market today is Tial Blow of valves ,they are designed for a huge Hp and hold daaamn high pressure at no leaks at all plus the sound are not that loud as you driving normally like those GRredy (i have one of these) But when you hit WOT Tials are damn loud :DD so thats my opinion

i want something that will have a nice crisp sound to it(if that makes sence).. i love pulling up to hondas and other POS cars that think there all cool and spool the turbo but i still have the stock BOV and it sounds like a bird chirp or something like that... but at the same time i want a good quality product that will do good at both low and high PSI(low=10 high=22)

Crushed 1G FTW.. and the cheap way out. But more related to your question, 2 of my friends have the greddy and they sound pretty damn good(even recirculated) and seem to hold just fine. I use to have a HKS SSQV knock off on my AWD , it sounded alright but i was never boosting over 10psi before i sold the BOV. But if money didn't matter, I would probably go with the HKS over the Greddy.

Whats the max boost am I looking at with the Greddy RS BOV. I am switching over to a 50 trim soon and was wonder whats the limits as I would like to run 28-30psi on the weekends at the track.

TC

I am running 22psi with an authentic greddy type rs. Not sure if that about 28-30 though, but its been like that for months and never given me problems.

Turbo XS RFL holds up to 25 psi

1 out of 5 may hold 25 psi. I have had 2 and both leaked at 20+psi. The txs rfl is known as one of the worst bov's as far as leaking is concerned so why would you even recommend it?WTF

I personally switched to a tial a couple of years ago just so I would not have to worry about it again. I dont care about sound, all I care about is function. It performs very well and has no issues of leaking at all. The lowest boost I have ran on it is 26psi so that should give you some idea of its capabilities.

My friend had one of these on his car, but it was the type H i think, it didnt have the horn on it, leaked at 6 psi!

I plan on upgrading mine soon, and I plan on getting a GReddy Type-S BOV. There was a good video of it on StreetFire. Liked the sound, and it's a recirculator, which is good because my car wont run well if it's not.

Thanks for all the post guy, but like i said im only looking to hold a max of around 22-25 psi and most of my street driving will be at stock boost. from what ive read so far Greddy Tial and HKS seem to be the better of choices. but im open for anyones opinion, so keep them coming.

go with TIAL ! All there products are good stuff and you can get alot back should you decide to sell it. and there made in michigan.

Well with a blow-thru setup and high boost, i would go with a tial. But Being Recirculated, and a nice sound, i love the Real Greddy Type-S more for the Chirp it makes. I also have a Turbo XS H34 which I feel like it holds better when im racing, but all that makes is a deep whoosh.

that was a good video.
if i were looking for a BOV and wanted the Greddy Type S that would have sold me in a second.

however i already have the Type S and have enjoyed it for the last 2-3 years.

But for the original poster, if you are going to use a MAF-T or what have you for a Blow Thru set-up i would personaly go with the Tial.

HANDS DOWN.

You can use the 1G bov witch is cheap and can hold 25psi and up if you trick it with the dejon tool kit. Its an anti leak kit, my friend got one and run 25psi. Go at their site, I personaly think its the best thing to do cause its not expensive. Go at the dejon tool web site. http://dsm.dejonpowerhouse.com/
