I know this doesn't have to do with dsm's but I have been helping my friend with a MKIV Gti for close to 20 hours in total so far on his coil overs and his forums are complete garbage so hopefully the dsm community wont mind helping a foreign foe . Basically we just put coilovers on the car but the coilovers required the reuse of the previous strut assembly mount. Now after all this has been done and lowered , Support spring removed and bump stop cut in half, the car starts clunking when at low speeds and when he brakes it sounds like a fat clunk of metal vs metal. Also when driving you feel the vibration of metal on metal rubbing. I know this is completely off but im running out of options,

If its too hard just approach this AS IF it was a dsm if possible

Double check the strut mount bushings. It sounds like that would be a good place to start. Make sure there is rubber between the spring and its perch.

Which one of these are you talking about? Just say the color and this is in order of what goes from bottom to top right to left
