Vancouver,
Does anyone know if these lights are any good ? Do they have a blue tint on them or are they just bright white ? I just wanted to see if anyone else has purchased them, or if anyone could reccomend a nice set of blueish headlight bulbs.

Xenon Light bulbs

This painted bulb will work just as bad as every other painted bulb on the market.

As you see in the pics, they are paited blue. They will not be as bright as as a normal clear bulb... but they will give you that "cool" blue effect.

Also, they are a regular halogen bulb, there is nothing xenon about them.

Exactly...everyone is so quick to throw out the word 'xenon' these days that it is beginning to brainwash the public as to what they actually are. This is one of my biggest pet pieves...I actually saw an LED flaslight that claimed 'superior Xenon lighting'. The HID headlights that you see on modern cars are not just a bulb, its an actual system of ignitors and ballasts.

Anyways, those bulbs will give your headlights the ricer blue look, but will decrease light output significantly. The brightest non-HID bulbs that I have seen are Sylvania Silverstars. They can be picked up almost anywhere they sell normal automotive bulbs and are well worth the price.

I have KYO bulbs from Prolightstar.com They are blueish tint but not too blue. I think they look great, not too ricey but not too yellow. Plus they are only like 30 $ shipped.

I have the GE Nighthawks right now, I just wanted to see if these lights were a bit brighter. But since you guys say they are just painted, I guess I'll just stick to my Nighthawks.

Silverstars.

This is the only thing I can agree with Defiant on.

I've had PIAA's and other bulbs, much more $$$ than Silverstars. To be honest, everything else other than the Silverstars have DEGRADED lighting performance. These improve it, and you get the nice white look.
