wtf!? my projectors cant use silverstars?!

so i go to plug up my new silverstars to my projectors andd...i come to find out that my projectors dont have the "plug" like normal oem lights do...instead the light is connected straight to a power wire??!!! is there anything i can do to get the silverstars to work with my projectors? see pics below:

I know you can get harnesses for just about any type of bulb at autozone. You could probably get a harness for 9006 or 9005 bulbs and splice it in.

That is the normal bulb used in most projector headlights and aftermarket foglights. You should have done some research before you bought the bulbs and opened the pack.

And by the way, thats an h3, not an h4. The h4 is a three wire bulb also know as a 9003.

EDIT: And they do make silverstars in the h3 variety. Look here.

Yes, basically. Did you get the twin pack or get them seperately? If one is still in the pack, you can still get your $ back. If they are the twin pack or you opened up both bulbs, you might be able to exchange them, its hard to say. Just explain to them that you have aftermarket headlight and didnt know that it used a different bulb than stock. They might just swap them out for the h3's.

hmm.. i thought the h4 was the highbeam version of the h3. kinda like how 9005/9006 work . well.. at least I was half right

And this is why projectors suck. They have almost no light output, even with the Silverstars. I will be doing an HID retrofit as soon as funds/tims becomes available. I wish I had stock lights.

yup.. i went through 2 sets of eBay projectors before I smartened up and bought stockers and did the highbeam conversion
