black projectors on black car = teh hotness.

You could get those, use the housings and retrofit some Hella HID's or something.

I'm not sure, but there are a lot of aftermarket headlights that use H3 or FOG light bulbs, and are crap for light. You might want to check that out before getting them.

Many of the H3 aftermarket projectors are actually brighter then the stock lights.

Yea, something with those black housings.

You should find out what kind of bulb those are using, or what bulbs similar models use.

I dont know how much money you have, but HID lights really are the best way to go. If money isn't a big concern to you, you could always get any set of projectors, then have a HID place (www.hidtech.com) properly retrofit and aim a set of Hella or PIAA HID lights for you.

So you guys think the HIDs are a better route than Projectors?

Most of these projectors are for halogen bulbs. What a projector does is concentrate the light, so it doesnt flood above the bumper line and all over the road. Now since most of these are halogen projectors, they take either H1,H3, whatever else halogen bulb. All it does is take the regular bulb, and concentrate the light. however, they usually get "hotspots" which will cause dark spots, which is probably why people complain about the light sucking.

Now HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights use different gases. They usually use xenon gas. No, not those crappy blue tinted 'xenon' gas bulbs from pepboys. THey actually have the bulbs, ignitors, ballasts and projectors. The xenon gas burns hotter than halogen lights, giving a more crisp light.

I remember there being a post about it a week or 2 ago, where someone explained the whole thing, try to find it. I'll look and see if i can find the link, but you can also take a look around as well.

Aren't all real factory HIDS and aftermarket retrofits illegal now anyway? There great light but I personally would spend the $$$$ elsewhere.

the ebay style projectors use H3 bulbs. i have them and i love them. the light is concentrated in front of the car, where it should be. the h3 bulbs will be spliced into your existing harness. you can either cut the stock halogen connector and just hardwire them, make a custom connector, or cut the stock connector out of your old headlights and use them in your new one. either way, its gonna be a little ghetto rigging but its worth it IMO.

wow, thanks for all of the great replys and links! :D I do believe my questions have been answered.

Well is there any chance that I could get something like that for my 94 talon?

Thomas -- so in order to install those projectors w/the H3s, I've got to splice which wires into the old harness? I bought a set of those black housing projectors, but won't have my car out of storage til next spring, might as well find out how to now though :p

as far as i know it's plug n' play and just plugs right in...only thing you have to sodder in is the halo power wire...

plug and play as per the lights.

the halos require their own connections, they are just a red and white wire.

DO NOT confuse Which ones!!! you could blow out the LEDs.

I cut off the connections to my fog lights because i dont have them anymore and connected them to the halo wires and Sealed it up GOOD!!!! i have soaked em and no shorts.
