wtf is up with interior lights!

when I open and close my doors my interior lights don't go on. On the dash it will display door open, and if I open the hatch they will come on. Just not when I open the drivers and passenger side door. Power locks don't work either. This is a 1995 talon. Is this a common problem with a simple fix? Thanks.

Start with the door switch that pops out when the door is open.
