WRXs how long do you think this trans with last

I imagine STI's have a stronger drivetrain than regular WRX's. Could be wrong, but that wouldnt make much sense if they weren't. I know nothing of WRX's though.
 
Early WRXs trannys were glass, JUNK! It makes a DSM trans seem strong, my freind had a stock car with 4,000 miles and the trans went out. He didnt even bet on it, I had a other freind with full boltons he also really never launched the car, or power shifed. His trans started making werid noises, and spitting outta 1st gear. He replaced it with a STI trans and called it a day.


Now from what I under stand the more recent 2.5 WRXs have a better trans than the older ones.
 
ive seen that in person before...all you heard was like clink! clunk! Clank!
then the car got pushed off the starting line...
