One of my side skirt end caps (see pic beow) and I was wondering if I could use tape to cover the hollow end on the side skirt so that it doesn't catch air and fall off too. So would duct tape do anything to my paint? If so is there any other kind of tape I could use? This would just be a temporary fix until my new end cap comes in the mail so that I can still dive the car without worring about the rest of the side skirt falling off.

I wouldn't recommend duct tape, as it gets hot, it will get tacky, and when you go to pull it off, leave a very sticky, disgusting residue. If you have a new one coming, I would recommend just taking the side skirt off until it gets in.

Yeah, duct tape leaves marks if it's on there for more than a day and hot. Just leave them off if it's coming soon.

Green painters tape wont leave much if any residue behind if you don't leave it on for a month.
