i was wondering if i use an hks bov instead of my greeddy type s, would my car run any different.
since the hks bov dont have an inlet for the hose going to the bov to cold air.. would i jst cap the hose goin to the cold air
thanks

I don't think it shoudl make it run any different...are you venting to the atmosphere, or recirculating?

Changing from one BOV to another wont change the way your car runs.

Unless you are venting the BOV, then your car will run richer at times. If you are venting and your bov is leaking then you will run extremely rich.

well i dont really know what do you mean by Venting, im kinda new at this. does that mean like not running the air from the bov back to the cold air

This is Recirculation

The proper way is to recirculate the bov which means to connect the bov to the intake, but if you want to vent the bov you better have a maf-t (mass air flow translator) with a gm maf which can be used to control the airflow better and can give you the opporunitty to vent your bov without running super rich. So i would recomend to find away and recirculate your bov or the car will idle wierd and run rich.

Yes!

Some BOV's have an optional recirculation kit. I'm not sure if the HKS does or not...I'm sure some body else could answer that question.

It's the same outcome with the Greddy Type S. If you are venting, you will run rich.
