Worst newbie/riceboy question ever

I keep seeing all these people running around with the "Afterburner" LED tip for their exhaust. I remember my uncle telling me back in the day they used to put a spark plug in the tip and wire it to the distributor so it would spark and ignite the unburnt fuel coming out. This produced fire from the exhaust. Now I know this is such a "riceboy" question, but has anyone done anything like this to a DSM? Is it even possible, since we are distributor-less? Please excuse my spelling for I am at work and about half drunk I would like to wire it to a switch so I could flip it right before a race, not run it all the time. Saw something like it on Monster Garage where Jesse James turned a mustang into a lawn mower with flaming side pipes. They added propane to make more fire, but I don't need all that. Just a little something for everone to look at, other than my taillights. And please, take it easy on me, I know this is a silly question.

SAVE YOUR MONEY! Wire is cheep, switches are cheep. You're paying $125 for parts that cost $0.99 at Radio Shack. All the are selling at Autoloc is a fancy button and some wires. If they provided a coil and a plug...maybe it would be worth it, but you have to supply them yourself...Please save your money.

I went into the local parts store (Schucks) and told the guy working there "I need a coil for my car..." all he gave me was a blank stare so I repeated myself and eloborated, "I need a coil for my 92 Eagle Talon... You know a little magnet with copper wireing around it? They are for running electricity..." They guy nodded, typed some crap on his computer looked at the screen and said "New ISC coils for your car are $325, and It'll take 3 days for delivery, is that what you wanted?" Needless to say the guy had no business working in a parts store, so I left. Anyone want to tell me where I could pick up the coil needed and any particulars that I should know? I'd ask my brother AGAIN but he just gets all pissy and screams at me (one of those people that think everything they do is of dire importance).

I've seen it done on a crotch rocket, Just this past weekend! It was spitting a 5 foot flame with barley any throttle!!!! On a car I would say use the grill sparker, 10ft of wire from radio shack and your blowin flames----------becarefull!!!!!! That car #### some ones car up bad! That tail gater may turn in to a road raged killer!!!! I sure as hellll would myself!
