Worried and Need Advice... Kinda long.

First I'd like to start of by saying it's way too hard to find a decent shop here in Utah. I'll leave it at that and continue by asking for some help. I'm having issues diagnosing my problem... here are my symptoms. Got on the throttle a little bit on a back street and the car cut out around 5000 RPMS. Thought, wow, this is strange, and did it again. Same thing. So I stopped at the nearest gas station to check for blown hoses or something simple. No such luck and as I'm driving home pondering why, my car dies on my street and I'm able to coast the rest of the way in. My baby won't start back up and I think F***. My friend can smell gas, and the car will turn but nothing else. The next day though, it starts up just fine. My AEM UEGO tells me I'm about 10% rich when I'm driving and about 15% lean when I'm idling. Suddenly my car idles at about 1000k-1200k instead of the usual 750k-800k. Then I notice something else strange. Suddenly, my factory boost gauge comes to life, as it never has in the three years I've owned it. Only, it's completely wrong. Flops back and forth like a fish regardless of what boost I'm likely at. Compression is okay. Boost leak test reveals two small leaks I'll take care of tomorrow. Am I likely looking at a larger problem and if so what? Thanks in advance.

sounds possesed, as far as your idle check your TPS by wiggling it around, but i doubt thats ## problem. It sounds like some sort of fuel cut out at wot but ud be able to tell if it was i think. Maybe ## pump is trash or somthing along those lines.

Yeah, just a little more information... HELLA oil on the intake side of my turbo. Its leaked into my intake piping and when I had the other side open today it was all over and down into the intercooler.... Bad seals? Anything? Thanks in advance.

Wow, it just keeps on coming. About an hour after my last post the car died. No apparent reason. I started it and one minute later attempted to drive away. I got about a hundred yards when all my lights slowly dimmed and then my gauges and stereo shut off. If I didn't know any better I'd say an alternator. Would an alternator give me all these symptoms. DSM's WTF *sigh.

I would say ECU caps.
Check them first.
Turbo seals sound bad. Replace it.
Possibly a bad ISC too. First check the ECU though as it's more expensive to replace if it is in fact the problem.

Remove your ECU from the car and open it up. There are three capacitors that may leak. Get ahold of "steve" the wiseman. He knows more about DSM ECU's than probably anyone else on the board.

Cap is short for "capacitor". The capacitors used in the 1G DSM ECUs are notorious for leaking electrolyte all over the PCB, causing damage.
If you're running an AEM standalone then you don't need to worry about it.
