haha...the 2.4l swap is actually pretty easy...you need to fabricate one mount, do some wiring, and mess with the cam sensor...but of course, you knew that. Tuning has been a lil rough for most people...but i assume you knew all that too...and i am sure you could tune it yourself.
I have helped a respected member of the DSM community with his swap...but i am sure I don't know what i am talking about.
You probably do know what you are talking about, when it comes to that swap, I never said otherwise.
I read the whole post, and have not said anything about swapping in the 4g6 into his car...to each their own.
Oh, so you just figured that the original poster wanted people to tell him how stupid he was for even considering the swap?
Our chrysler's have their weak points...so what...not like the 2g 4g6's are bulletproof...Either way you look at it, you have a dsm...Its not exactly a ferrari or lamborghini...so don't let your nose point to the sky at us.
I know what I have, other people always say "you can't do this swap because you essentially have a cloud car." I'm not above anybody, there are plenty of people who know more about DSMs than me.
if turboing a 2.4l swap has as many probs as swapping in a 4g63T...then explain why, exactly, it is the smart thing to do??
I just said that to point out than either swap can have it's problems.
For me, the 4g63T swap would be the smart thing to do, because my 420A took a dump, and now I need a motor, I also want a turbo, and I can't afford to buy both a 420a and a turbo kit.
But yeah...you're right...i am wrong...you are god...I am merely a servant...4g63 is Gods gift to cars...420A belongs in a TYCO RC
No, it probably would fit better in a go-cart.![]()
