Wont go past 3500-4000rpm

So the Talon ONCE again decided to give me problems, it wont rev past 3.5-4k RPM, makes about 4-5 pounds of boost though. I noticed a big ass hole at a connection with the J pipe, ordering that pipe tonight. Besides the boost leak, any other reason why it could be doing this? I want to keep a check list of this, I recently checked the TB and everything seems good, checked the vacuum lines and that also seems good, but I will check them again just in case.

Anyone else that has come across this problem? I'm pretty sure its the boost leak but as I stated I want to cover all the bases.

Yeah, its got a boost leak dude . I ran a compression test as well and the lowest cyl is #4 with 150, every other cylinder has 160+.

I have a home made J pipe and it has a gap in it, ordering one tonight off of Ebay. When you had a boost leak did it to the same thing? Couldn't go past a certain amount of RPM and what not.

Its a stupid question since its happened to me twice with the Talon, once on the GSX and at least 5 more times with the rest of the cars I've owned and I've also fixed countless cars with the same problem at work... But every car is different, I like knowing if cars do different things when they have a boost leak just to be able to diagnose it quicker instead of having to waste time tracking down the problem.
