Don't know. I just want somethnig reliable and good on gas. I think I'm done with speed. Might try out something for road racing/better handling. Maybe RSX, who knows. We'll see tomorrow night if I sell it.

I would like a wrx but people keep telling me not to because of the trans. I baby my cars and in all honesty, I never race. The only reason I mod cars is because I like to take something and make it a bit faster. Not to mod to make a certain time or beat certain cars. I just mod to mod.

Imod to rape warrenty, and buy new parts :)

there is an 03 silver WRX with rims, some headlight kit, and exhaust, maybe others, but im not sure; forsale up here for 18,400 . i have no idea the miles or if its auto or stick. Also, it is wingless.

this is true, I do love the way the rex looks, as long as its a 4dr :p

i need a new motor  does anyone know a shop that can rebuild a motor or a place i can buy one? HELP ME :sosad: !! THANKS!
ENGINE REBUILDERS in Waukesha, WI. 1604 Arcadian Ave. 1-262-521-2250 i was going to stop in there but im lazy. so i think they might be pretty cheap. depends on what you need. good luck.

####ing Subaru makes one of the best motors on the planet. The only thing that is prone to going wrong with them is that the engine has weak valves. They are really strong cars and wont have any problems. They respond nicely to mods too. PEACE

the impreza trans is weak though. I drove my friends at the grove thougt i was going to break it when he said just floor it and dump the clutch? OMG it held up but after a few runs the thing just stared shifitng like shit. they just feel so notchy like a used dsm that was run hard and put away wet many times.

i dont know what subaru likes mods but my buddies sti didnt like the blow off valve too much. i think they are overrated for the price of a newer used wrx you can buy an evo and get a wayyyy better suspension.

Yea, I'm still debating it all. Mainly because of the trans issue. The only problems I haev heard is from people who race/drive hard in a rex. I have heard great things for people who occasionally race and just use it mainly as a daily driver. I dont know yet.

I think I'll just decide when I look around for a while and see what some prices are. I've driven both and I would rather have the wrx for speed, but I am a bit held back by the tranny.

What I've heard on NASIOC and from some other WRX owners, is that the STi doesn't have this problem nearly as much, because it has a better trans mount that reduces flex. I think it only costs like $80, and is supposed to be a direct bolt-in for the WRX trans.

i dont think its the mount that kills the tranny its just the tranny itself. there is a kid in gurnee on his 4th or 5th tranny and one here in kenosha on his 2nd or 3rd. ive read a sti tranny is the only real way to fix it for good. but its also a 6000 dollar tranny.

Apparantly I am selling my car tonight. Guy wants it real bad. I think I might just go rsx. I dont race anyways or drive around like a maniac so speed isn't really that big of a deal. Besides the rsx isn't that slow either. :D

I think I'll go more for road racing anyways. I've always loved speed, but I never actaully tried building a car for handling. This should be fun. :thumb:

remember that 4000 dollars i lent you? im gonna need that back in the form of a motorcycle...thanks

You mean Porsche?

yea they are strong but in my opinion nissan makes some of the strongest AFFORDABLE engines (any rb, sr20det, vq35 etc...)
