Wiring sidemarkers to blinkers..

I know in the evo when the left turn signal or whatever is used, the sidemarker blinks with it.

Do I just splice the sidemarker wires into the indicator bulbs wiring harness?

Yes but you must cut the sidemarkers hot wire (non-black) completely from it's harness and go only to that turn signal filament's hot wire (not to the other filament). You can leave the black ground wires on both alone. Note the sidemarkers will then no longer go on with the tail lights - only with turn signal.

If the turn signal bulb in the headlight will also fit it the side marker light housing you could wire the side markers directly to your turn signal/ parking light bulbs in the headlight. (the parking light bulbs are dual filiment, dual purpos bulbs) That way they will serve as both parking lights and turn signals.

One bulb wth 2 filaments in it - socket has 3 wires. What all cars use that do this.

I don't see how wiring the sidemarker to the blinker would just cause it to turn on only when blinker is in use. That light is always on when parking light is on, don't see how this is all confusing.

because you HAVE to disconnect the marker lights... simply splicing the wires together would cause your blinkers to be markers and not blink... and then when the blinkers are engaged you will blow a fuse immediately

So always_broken do you get it now? As aceofriches says you disconnect (or cut) the sidemarker hot wire from it's harness and route and splice it into the turn signal bulb filament's hot wire. Then they both only go on together.

If you also want the sidemarker to come on with the parking light, you must replace it with a 2 filament bulb and socket (maybe the EVO one will fit?). Connect 1 filament as it is now to the sidemarker hot harness wire and the other filament to the turn signal bulb filament hot wire. The common black wire of the socket goes to ground (same as original socket's black wire).
