2G Wiring on clutch switch.

So I have a 95 gst, and im cleaning up some of the terrible wiring the previous owner did.

I have a wire spliced into a green wire on what i think is the clutch safety switch running up to behind the ignition? Does anyone have any idea what this guy did here and why?

Pictures are helpful, and any knowledge of an aftermarket alarm system in the car at some point?

Perhaps to bypass the clutch during cranking?

Green wire by the clutch that runs to this red wire behind the steering wheel.

Instead of guessing or reverse engineering what someone did or why, just get rid of it, we know its not factory so it shouldn't be there.
