I want to wire my Halo/Angel Eye's to come on with my parking lights. I want to t-tap the parking light bulb harnesses in the headlights themselves. Does anyone know what parking light wire's are positive and negative?

Thanks,
-Brian

You could just stick a multimeter in the socket of the headlight harness and do a little empirical testing. That'd probably be easier and quicker than anything.

you can also easily tap into the wiring on the bumper side markers. thats where i wired my angel eyes into:talon: :dsm:

I wired mine(when I had them) into the blinker light. I believe it was the Green wire with the white tracer but I can't say for sure. Multimeter is the best way to find out. However if you go my route and it's the wrong wire the halo will just blink with the blinker :thumb:

P.S. if you bought these new and haven't tinkered with the LED, be prepared to remove the lights relatively soon, as the LEDs that come in them go out pretty quick.

I just connected both wires and put them in the "Parking light" fuse in the fuse box. Be sure to ground the other wire to the body. Really easy, no splicing. Have fun either way you do it, I just did it the easiest way I could think.

Any guide to replace these? How long does it take?

This is exacly what I did. I found this to be the easiest method.

I have heard of them failing fairly early, however, I have had mine in for a year and a half and have never had a problem with them at all.

My theory is that the premature failing is due to the installation. When splicing those connections for the "halo", I was sure to use solder as well as a rubber sealant that creates a waterproof seal on the wires as well as electrical tape. (I didn't want to have to take the headlights out again since it was a PITA)

yeah mine failed pretty early too but i agree with you. i just taped the wires with electrical tape and i remember the day the led started blinking and going out it was raining outside. so i believe your right, remember to seal the spliced cables really good with sealant.
