!!!!Angel Eye WARNING!!!

Awhile back I noticed the angel eye posts in "most unique mod" I thought I'd give them a try sense they look pretty cool. I gathered all the supplies and made them one boring afternoon, and they do look sweet. But this weekend I had the car out for along night of running around town, when I got home I noticed that the rings had COMPLETELY melted. They are now in globs and stuck all over the high beam side of my lights. I think the lights are a loss but I need to open the housing and see if I can chip it off without to much damage. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else but heed this as a warning to anyone considering this mod.

Why don't you just get some off a supra? Everything that comes off a supra makes you faster. They're lighter and since it's toyota it's more reliable and won't melt.

What kind of lightbulbs do ya use? That could be a problem too..

Stock bulbs, I was supprised it got that hot also. And BTW I wish someone would have posted this before I did this mod, but I guess myself trying to help out some fellow dsmer's makes me an idiot....

so far you are the only person who's had this problem. and do you really need to drive around with your high beams on all the time anyways?

I don't drive around with my high beams on, but the housing is one piece so any heat from the normal lights will heat up the whole housing.
