Window Wipers are slow!!!

I dont know about you dsm'ers but my wipers work they just aren't really that fast...has anyone modified something...maybe changed a relay or something to make them move faster. I live in MI and its raining like crazy here and i had to take my moms car just to go get some food because they suck compared to hers.

Mine are quick as hell, maybe something is wrong with yours. But if I were you id invest some time in RainXing the crap out of your windows, or atleast the Windsheild and rear glass. Then you dont even need wipers.

o i definitly intend to rain-x the wusssup out of them but i have a 3kgt and a talon and they both seem to go the same speed. Maybe i just expect some uber power like out of the of these newer cars like my parents G6. Do they turbo wiper motors rofl

Seriously, mine are just as fast as anything eles ive ever driven
Maybe something is wrong with them, I dont know.

Slightly off-topic for a laugh, my trucks wiring decides how the wipers are going to work on a day to day basis. Some times off=on, slow=off,slow=fast,fast=off...or they just will not shut off. I must look like a lunatic driving down the road with my wipers at full speed in a sunny 95 degree day out

cumpersgsx, are you experiencing any problems with your alternator/battery? Has your radio randomly lost power and turned back on? Do you lights dim sometimes for no reason at all? Do your windows roll down slowly? Does your car seem to struggle whenever you turn the ignition to start it? Let us know, slow windshield wiper blades are an effect of voltage drop in your electrical system. If you have experienced any of the above then that's what it is, if you don't experience any of the above then check the windshield wiper motor and voltage to the wiper motor.

haha my buddies 3kgt is like that. Its hilarious when we went through a car wash and they turned on while the dude was "pre-soaping"...the guy thought we didnt want the windshield washed and we couldn't stop it. So nonetheless he had a spotless car...and a windshiled with mangled wipers

My radio has...only because i was running a sub without a cap. My lights are dim...but i think thats just dsm headlights. Ignitions fine. Windows roll up and down fine. I did a voltage test and got normal readings before and after the alternator. Maybe it just rains too hard Would switching a relay potentially make them any faster...it seems like it would.

I understand this forum is old but i am having the problem that exile has described almost to the t i dont think my lighs are dim but my radio turned itself on and off i have slow wipers and my door windows seem to go down slowybas well where should i check first

My were slow when my alternator went out.

So it could be the start of bad alternator/battery dying

Mine started doing this as well during recent thunderstorms... Turns out the actual wiper bolts where the arms are held were a little loose and it fixed, I guess it wasn't "catching" as good. Previous owner deleted rear wiper... That is terrible without ac and fogged windows in the rain, keep it if you have one. Could be the wiper motor going out as well.
