Window trim

I have been searching , alas nothing.

Where can I get this piece if not from the dealership.
Last time I spoke to satan they could not get them anymore.
Is there some one who car redo these , or is there a common fix to the pealing coating on the trim piece?

Thanks , I did not even think of them , I assumed that since I could not get it from the dealer that I could not get them at all , new ones at least.

Wait does the same go for the seal on the windsheild?? A piece on my windsheild is slowly coming up and I didn't know if I could fix it with the same stuff or not.

probably not, they're different sizes, when i had my windsheild replaced, i noticed the stripping was sealed to the glass as he put it on, so you might be SOL on that one and need it replaced. check into your insurance, maybe you can get it for free, if not...maybe a 'rock' could hit your windsheild sometime in the near future, wouldn't that be a shame.

On my old 91 I just sanded them down and repainted them with flat black engine enamel.The reason that coating peels off in the first place is they sprayed it over slick,shiny ,chrome.....whats gonna stick to that? You'll have the same problem in several years with dealer replacements unless they got wise and started scuffing up the surface at some piont.

Where can the lower 2g window trim be found? The same part as shown above in the 1g pic, except for a 2g. I went to the dealership and they quoted me $88 for one! TIA...

There is one on the bottom of the page. But its pricey. I hope there is a cheaper alternative.
