Made something I thought I would run by you guys for ideas. I have been up inside my passenger door at least 3 times in the last 4 months to tighten up the forward window guide bracket. I realize there might be something else causing the guide bracket to loosen up this frequently, maybe window alignment. But... I figure I would use this opportunity to try out making a replacement for the slider bracket that would not only be adjustable, but it would hold its adjustment better.
Now keep in mind this is only a prototype. It was made from a thick teflon cutting board just so that I could visualize it somewhere than just in my head. The end product will be made from aluminum. the bolt holding it in place will obviously be a lot shorter and the adjustment screw will be replaced with a set screw.
The idea is pretty straight forward and simple. Just tighten the set screw until you get clean movement with the window. Once it is adjusted it should stay where it is.
