Im looking at a set of porsche wheels (not porsche oem but are exactly identical to porsche oem) they are 17x8 with 45mm off set and 6.25" backspacing. I've never really later attention to wheel specs other than either it will fit or it wont. Im curious to know if these will be sticking out very far, if so, when I get my body kit I will be purchasing fender flares and fiberglassing them over to give my car a wide body look

Forgot to mention im pairing them with a 215 50 tire

You didn't "start here" as suggested.

It would help you tremendously if you knew the size and offset of the stock wheels. Actually the size you gave sounds real close to stock size except for the 8" width as GSX wheels are 7" wide.

You have a '98 GSX like myself and I swapped Lancer Evolution VIII wheels which are 17 x 8 +38 and they're flush with the fenders so a +44 offset will actually sit further in on my car. If your goal is to have the wheels look like they're being overtaken by the body kit (not a good look in my opinion) then you're certainly on the right track.
