1G Will this engine fit?

I have a stock 92 gs eclipse with the non-turbo 4G63 engine in it. I would want to swap the engine but i want to put in the 4G63 turbo in there. Will the engine fit with no problem or would i have to do somethin else like buy other parts?

Great Question! I have been trying to figure this out too. I have a 2g though 2.0. I have been told the turbo motor would not line up with the 2.0 motor mounts or the tranny. ??? I dunno with the 1g.

1g- yes, it will take some work of course, but yes
2g- yes, but a lot of work is needed, including new mounts.

I myself have done this swap...(hince, my name ) All you need to do is remove old engine, remove old wiring harness, remove old ecu, install new wiring harness and ecu, put the turbo engine in, hook everything up, make sure fluids in tranny are good before you start the car. You're going to need a new exhaust also. Otherwise, its not too difficult of a project. It would take you and one other person who knew what was going on about a day to swap engines, then the next starting and finishing touches.
