I just need to know if these wheels will fit fine or if I need some spacer or something.
16x7 45 offset with 215/50R16 tires. The rims are Rota Slipstreams if that helps and I already bought them($380 off ebay) so please don't tell me to get another offset unless this offset can't be corrected with spacers. I currently have 18x7.5 with either a 42 or 45 offset(not sure what ones I have there were on when I bought the car) and 225/40R18 tires
Ok I've been pluggin numbers into a calulator and compared them to my current rims(the 18's) and if I compare it to the 45 offset
"The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 6mm MORE. The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 6mm"
If I compare with the 42 offset
The clearance from stut housing to the inside of the wheel will be 3mm MORE
The outside edge of the wheel will RETRACT in towards the body by 9mm
So with that I would imagine that I shouldn't have problem since the 18s don't rub and this will give me more clearance that that. And I don't think 9 or 6 mm retraction will be that big of a deal, will it? My current 18s is pretty even with the front fender and sticks out slightly in the back. Anyway hope thats enough info. Please confirm my findings thanks.
