i need advice on some parts for my 90 Laser RS N/T....what types of upgrades are avalible for the following that will not cost an obscene amount of money

throttle body
o2 sensor & housing
TPS
MAF sensor
intake manifold
exhaust manifold
exhaust downpipe

also will any 2g versions of those parts work on a 1g?
same for turbo versions

also about exaust....
i ordered a 2.5 inch hi flow cat and Megan racing exhaust....will these parts bolt up to a stock exhaust system....or is a downpipe and testpipe upgrad needed (of course stock will restrict it quite a bit i am aware of thise, but will it fit?)

you have a 1g n/t that means u have the 4g63 engine (correct me if im wrong) so u cannot use parts from a n/t 2g because it is a 420a engine n it is a completly different block. Chyrsler made the 420a n Mitsubishi the 4g63 (Please correct me if im wrong)

Yes a high flow cat should bolt up to ure stock downpipe (altho i suggest getting a header w/ the flex-pipe aka downpipe, pretty cheap n efficient off of ebay). And ure high flow cat should bolt up to the cat-back exhaust. Good luck n have fun! :thumb:

CORRECTION, but the :laser: Laser RS has the 4G37 engine the 1.8L SOHC version of the 4G63. The same as the regular (RS) Eclipse. First off, that engine isn't the best engine, it holds compression but stock, you're looking at a 92HP . Comon... unless you want to be that guy with a Civic LX and a ricing exhaust. What you probably need to do is swap it. Lots of work but its worth it, better compression and more possibilities. As for your stock downpipe, I say replace it, its also worth it. That is, if you plan to keep your car, it's much more work because its the base model. If you want a better deal, you'd sell that laser and get yourself a GSX :dsm:

RS has a 1.8
RS DOHC has 2.0 16valve
RS-T is 2.0 turbo fwd
RS-T AWD is obviously 2.0 turbo awd

that should remove some confusion
