will not idle on start when cold

car starts and will not stay running unless you give it gas and if you dont then it will die but when its warm it will idle between 1800 but drives down road fine

mine does the same thing but i turned my idle down so it idles at 1000rpms when its warm i think it has something to do with the cold idle but am not sure i would like to know too

Two things that come to my mind: Fast Idle Thermo Valve and the ECT sensor (coolant temp sensor). Search on how to test these to see if either is the problem. The car will not idle when cold if either of these are faulty.

Correct. The FIAV and ISC in the throttle body are the usual culprits in this case, especially if you eliminated them or they are not functioning correctly; along with the coolant temperature sensor.
