Will manual EPROM work in my auto gsx?

The ecu hardware itself is the same between manual and auto, however the code is different because of the different injectors. If the ecu is socketed, you can just change the code to one for an automatic (e932 for example).
 
Errr or just upgrade to larger 450cc injectors.

Also you must use a 90 ECU, 91-94 ECUs are different from ours.

Switching to 450's won't fix the fuel pressure difference. The 390s with the auto FPR (390cc) is closer to the 450s at the mt FPR (411cc) pressure than 450s are at the auto FPR (450cc)

The swap issues across the 90 /91+ boundary is well documented and much easier now with the board Keydiver sells. If you don't care about the tach working all the time you can just swap pins 6 and 14.
 
There is code in the E932 and E932A software to deal with things like idle in park/neutral vs idle in gear that make a bigger difference in the way the car runs than the injector size. That's part of what I would consider it takes to be running correctly.

I prefer to start with that code when doing chips for modded 1G ATX cars.

That's really key information you should have provided up front.

Since it's a 2G there is no difference because the same ECU was used on both the 95 MTX and ATX.
 
I have an auto, with a manual eprom, dsmlink, 1000cc injectors, and afpr. Can you tell me more baout the different idle settings for the auto and manual and if this can still effect me with my setup?
 
sorry under my "car" it says 90 tsi and im asking about a gsx didnt think anyone would of not understood. sorry
