heres the deal.. i have a 95 talon tsi awd. bone stock with the exception of a 1g BOV. im thinking of upgrading the fuel pump.. will i need to add a afpr or wil i be fine running the stock one with stock injectors?

has anyone used the ebay pumps from china?
$50 free shipping seems like a deal.. im not making the car into a race car by no means.. just slowly but surely building a slightly more potent than stock sleeper/

Do your self a favor and get a Walbro I wouldnt go cheap plus there only like 112 shipped. You will need a AFPR if you go with a walbro 255 and maybe a 190 but some people can use the stock FPR with the 190.

awesome thanks for the quick reply..

is there any instructions on here to install a fpr? i did a search but i just found random threads..
nothing concrete on how to install./

well there is but you have to search more. its very a simple process all you do is (if you get the aeromotive a1000 kit from extreme psi) take off the stock fpr and put your new flange with threaded nipple on the fuel rail. Run it to your AFPR then take the line that was on the stock fpr and put it on the bottom of the AFPR thats it. Oh make sure you cap off the vac line and adjust your AFPR without vacuum. And since you have a 95 you will need 43 psi base pressure.

Yeah, dont get a china afpr or you will be in trouble. You need a good one that raises the fuel pressure at a 1:1 ratio under boost. Most cheepo ones let you raise the fuel pressure but not lower it. Us dsm guys need to lower it. Dont buy junk it will just kick you in the ass right away.

The stock 2g or even an EVO fuel pressure regulator will hold just fine. I run a 255hp with my stock regulator with no issues. Seen cars with dual 255's and inline pumps hold pressure just fine. If yours is going bad just replace it with a new OEM one. Very cheap.

What about 1g's? Would I be able to run a 255 with my stock regualtor and if not what should I upgrade too?
