Will I fine without the clutch fork/piston dust boot cover?

I recently bought another GST 7 bolt and as I was change the transmission gear oil, I noticed that the clutch fork to piston rubber dust boot cover is missing.

The little square opening is open and I can see the pressure plate.

Will I be fine when it rains or should I find the cover and put her on?

I need to know this too. Except I'll be running a ACT 2600.

I would say it is not nessciary but highly recomended. Your fans will blow dirt and water in the opening.
