Can't think right now. I'm pretty sure that the fronts work fine, but the rear (evo) shock body is too long for dsm. hoping for someone to verify. (found some used parts to think about)

Since you cant think, I guess you want others to do the work for you. No worries my brain is ripe.:thumb:

Let me google that for you

as a result:

according to this link, the evo 8-9 rear struts are bolt on but require spacers, so they would need the same modification as the struts in the links above to fit out car, maybe even spacers:

So, you haven't actually done the work. you just googled the same things I googled which don't really answer the question.

I.E. wasn't asking for evo 4/5/6/7/8/9/x was asking evo 1/2/3 and wasn't asking for an elitist attitude. If you don't know don't reply, easy right?

sorry it came across that way, it was more of a joke than anything else.

My conclusion from posting the 8/9 set up is that, since the 8/9 setup works for the 1-3 with the use of spacers, 1-3 set up should not work for the DSM, like you said they are too long, they would need to be reduced in height.

the height of the spacers, I guess thats the part IDK. Sorry man. Maybe you dont need them for coilovers.

The rear strut is what will need the work, according to the first link:
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/handling-tech/372296-evo-8-9-struts-springs-1g.html#post152240110
You need to chop off the 1G lower mount on the strut, then chop and fit in the round section into the U-shaped lower mount of the Evo 8 rear strut, then weld into place. The 1G upper rubber and 1G DSM upper mount is also swapped.
the height was not modified.

again sorry if it came off that way, the whole "cant think" made me laugh so I posted LMGTFY so you didnt have to.

No biggie, I probably over-reacted anyway.

I have a set of rear Cusco Zero-2 coilovers for the evo 8 CT9A - don't ask. but it's been a little harder than I thought to find matching fronts at working man prices. It's just been a goofy couple of days. I'm just hoping all I would have to do for the front is cut some spacers out of aluminum plate for the lower mount/spindle, and maybe drill/champher new holes for the top.
