Will AWD rotors fit on a FWD car?

since you have drums on the back you'll need to replace the whole setup back there, I have the stock 16" GST wheels and Im ok, not sure about your setup (wheel size) since its a non-turbo though

Just to make it clear, you can't just slap those rotors on and call it a day. You need the 2G AWD calipers, caliper cages, pads and a few other goodies. They do physicly fit on the hub though.

So your saying I will have to replace the rear drums too? it is the stock setup I think maybe 16'' alloys, but I have 18's that are not installed yet

if you're doing all 4 then you'll need to drop the entire arm with the drums and put the rear FWD turbo assembly in there (really not a difference in size for the rears). For the fronts Omega is right, you'll need the calipers, caliper brackets and the rotors to swap in the AWD setup

how much did you guys get your rotors for and do you know where I can find any good slotted ones? Also I am thinking of just getting 2g aftermarket rotors rather than the swap, because its going to be hard looking for all of the AWD stuff and I dont have much time.

just to let anyone know who doesn't there is alot of other cars you cant get that calipers and rotors from like any 3000gt sl or vr4, also diemantie (i cant spell diamond in Spanish)
and you can get the calipers from a gvr4 as if those are laying around everywhere. you cant gets the rotors from the gvr4 unfortunately Mitsubishi decided a 4bolt hub was good for the gvr4. also and obviously 93-99 awd dsm.
i got my calipers from a diemantie wow what a difference. I'm running stock replacement rotors with raybestos sts pads (that was all that was all that was available that instant) but it made all the difference in the world. even with stock rotors. although i was switching from worn pads and warped rotors. I changed brakes so fast because i was at an illegal street race outrunning a non turbo supra and a Toyota 4 runner pulled out in front of me.(Toyota vs me vs Toyota, i just realized that) The car took so long to stop i almost plowed into him. I already had the calipers so the next day i went and got rotors for 40 dollars and a set of the best pads kragen could offer for like 80 dollars. wow I'm really not worried about stopping anymore they get the job done. I do plan to change to slotted rotors though.

is there any other cars i missed that have the dual piston calipers and larger rotors.

You can get a set of slotted/drilled/unobtainium rotors off ebay but you want quality if you are going down the pretty path. I would recomend Stoptech or brembo.

If you don't buy into the slotted/drilled hype (which you shouldn't), pick up a set of blank rotors from a local parts store and a set of hawks pads. The extra money you spend on pads will far out weigh those "performance" rotors.

Funny thing is, I was planning on swapping an AWD rear into my car this month (less the diff and axles. So actually I have everything you need... but that has been postponed. I'll keep you in mind if you are interested.

thanks for all the info people.. one more question which do you guys prefer for quality and performace, blank rotors or the slotted/drilled ones? and which ones are you guys using as of now.
