Will a bad MPI relay cause ECU to fail?

I have no cover on my mpi relay and I think it might have shorted out.
The gauge cluster does not show a check engine light for 5 seconds and the boost gauge does not go to zero when I turn the key to the ON position. So the car is not starting. Have fuel and spark but nothing coming out of the injectors.

Wondering if the relay could cause this problem. I opened the ecu and it looked ok but I'm not an electronics expert.

Open up the ecu and see if it has damaged caps, that could be the problem if your not getting a cel.

Just worked on the car, found out that the 20amp motor fuse was blown. Replaced that and the ecu is now working like it should. The check engine light comes on and then turns off. The boost gauge also goes to zero.

My car is still not starting, but it is trying. I think it might be bad gas that was still left in the tank after draining it with the drain plug.

Getting closer and closer. Hopefully have it running tonight.

Put fresh gas in the car and it tried to start.

Looks like the timing might be off, gonna check that tomorrow. Hopefully it's right.

It's on the positive battery cable.
