what could be bad? ..mpi relay, or ecu?

story:
Alright, had an arc of "lightning" crossing over my engine bay(had my hood off). Came from my coil packs trying to find a ground. Well, i did an full tear down and rebuild and encountered my MPI relay humming me a tune. Ive gotten new coilpacks, CAS, plugs, wires, timing is dead on, placed an led probe for the injectors and it was producing a harmonic light show. Also probed all the wires in the engine bay and everything was getting the right voltage; but im not getting spark at the right time...or any spark at all.....

i was just wondering if my ecu could also be a problem?

You might have fried your power transistor. Also make sure its it tight, they come loose sometimes. When my ecu went bad i was still getting spark.

after all that did you check the grounding straps?

Ive had my wiring guru take a look at all my wires about an hr ago......and hes pretty positive its the mpi, also... my battery was draining....after d/c the mpi...ive had 12volts everyday ive checked (3days) ....there are so many grounds i dont know where to start.. if you have a list of critical points i can double check them 2morrow. ive cracked open the ecu, and it has no leaks, no burns...seems it has some sort of proctectant on the board ...as though it was sprayed by some sort of electrical seal...


ive also tried 2 different power transistors...and probed the voltage.. and it was A-O.K. ... which made me confuse...as to why there was no spark..

try swapping out the power transistor with another one.
