will a 91 (t) transmission fit into 91 1.8 ???

Just bought a 1991 eclipse 1.8 parts car and we are going to try and save it but the transmission is bad. But we have a 2.0 (t) motor and trans layin around wondering if anyone has tried or know if it should bolt up ? any input would be great thanx !!

The bellhousing sizes from a turbo to non turbo differ, if you would try and bolt the 1.8 tranny on a turbo car it will not fit, the bellhousing would rub on the clutch. So I will bet it is safe to say it will not work the otherway properly...sorry. Double check by measuring across the front of both bellhousings and compare.
