I tried searching but all the results I found I couldn't find an answer. The 7 bolt motor I have no exp with, so does anyone know if the pistons and rods will swap over or not? I know the 7 bold rods are smalled but I haven't had them in my hand so I have no clue if there are interchangable (bearing area some etc)

The short answer: no.

The longer answer: Pistons are the same, rods aren't interchangeable.

Providing both blocks have the same bore, yes. I recommend checking the cylinders with a micrometer to verify they're the same.
