Wierd noise in Dash

My car has been making a really wierd noise. It sounds like its comming from behind the tac or speedometer. Its like a little grinding noise. It will speed up when I accelerate. Does anyone have an idea what it could be?

i have the same thing except mine sounds more like a ticking noise does anyone have anyidea what it is???

do your counters work? if they have stoped moving that could be the problum

Either the speedo cable or the odometer/trip meter is going out. Time to keep an eye on eBay for a good used one.

I think its the spedo cable going bad. They dry up and drag click, click, then the grind!
