Anyone have any pics of this? I know i saw a white 1g with the 2gb front bumber swap but if anyone has some clean pics of this swap that would be great. Im going to be repainting my car(myself-a lot cheaper that way) so i figure ill try something a little rare. I know theres a lot of shaping to do on it but do you guys think this would look alright? Also has anyone flared out the fenders on their dsm? I always thought it would look interesting...

So basically do you guys think a widebody 1gb with a 97-99 front bumper swap would be worth it?

like stated before it will look awful. 2g bumpers DO NOT belong on 1gs.. take a look at these pics. the one is a widebodied 1g with 3g tails his user name on here is kanlhitit, now here are some good awful pics :thumbdown

Well it's different I guess, And would cost alot to do it the right way. I think there is another member that lives not to far away from me that also tried it, But I do not know if he completed it. Maybe he'll see this thread.

Here is a picture of the above car.

I think the 2g bumper looks good with the stock lights. I also think the 3g tails fit nicely. It's the one piece front end that looks all wrong. Even on a 2g it would look wrong but it looks especially out of place on a 1g.

Yeah blasters pic is the one ive seen before and where i got the idea from, i dont think it looks good on a 1ga but 1gb mite be able to pull it off with the headlights. Some said that 1gs are too flat for the 2gb bumper but thats why i was thinking if i flared the fenders(molded in) i might be able to pull it off(with the appropriate rims and drop off course).

christ sake just buy a 2g if you want that design .. thats way to much work .. and your changing the whole curves of the body from box'y to curvey .. bad idea ..

who said that doesnt look good? let me see pics of your 1g. i bet that looks a lot hotter than anything else you seen on a 1g. show me a 1g that looks better .

ive seen a guy in MI with a 1gb talon with a 98 talon bumper, it looked different but not that great. keep your stock bumper because your car looks badass as it is! :thumb:

I like it, I think it looks awesome! Good job to whoever's it is, and props. As for whoever said if you want a 2G get a 2G, the price of a 2G is in the ball park of $4000, and a 1G you can pick up for $500. The cost to modify the bumper is practically nothing, maybe some brackets (we'll say $50 to be high), and fiberglass cloth and resin (cheap, I have an entire roll at my house just laying around, and a full can of resin), and maybe $100 for a bumper, so $200 total for a different car then most and being unique. I think that's quite a resonable cost. but that just my opinion :p Latter :dsm:

:thumb: :thumb: :thumb: for the car again

I think I saw that guy at the import shootout at 131 dragway. The car had 4 inch gaps under the headlights. All the dsmers laughed at him and he left LOL.

God forbid if your damn car isn't completly rusted with huge dents in it, and flat black paint, you get made fun of :toobad: :notgood: there is a big percent of people on this site that are just ignorant and can not accept the fact not everyone want's their car to look completly stock or worse then stock with rust/flat colored paint :barf:
