Im looking to see if anyone can lead me to a sight that sells Evo III engines? Ive googled and yahoo'd and can only find regular or cyclone versions of the 4g63

For the price why not just rebuild your current block or source a 6-bolt and build that. When you buy a JDM engine you have no idea what you're getting, the engine may have had a snapped timing belt and have a trashed valvetrain, spun bearings, etc, I've heard some horror stories with JDM engines. Also add to this that there really aren't that many differences between USDM and JDM engines, these cars aren't Hondas. When you start with your own block and supply your own parts you'd probably save some money and in the end get a better overall motor than buying a used engine that got shipped halfway around the world.

id would rebuild mine, but with a rod hanging out my oil pan, another rod and piston punched out the back side of my motor. I kinda need a new motor and just kinda wanna see what these motors go for and who sells them. I located a place in canada that has a cyclone engine with yellow injectors for 1800 with tranny, but I dont need a tranny. I would like to buy a build shortblock if possible.

Why not just rebuild a 6 bolt? There's a bit of work required to get the EVO III engines in there especially if you wanna retain the cyclone intake mani.

The part im kickin myself for is 2 months ago I needed money and sold my spare engine which was a 6bolt in excellent condition that I picked up for 200. I was offered 3k tonight for my car as it sits so Im really thinking about letting her go. Let me know if its worth it, cause I have a hard time turning down money.
