Who needs heat shileds?

My lower heat shield was taken off when the O2 Eliminator downpipe went on. Is there a way to hack a lower heat shield so that one would fit back on there somehow? Or would it just be easier/better to wrap the pipes?

i just cut the lower heat shield and bolted most of it back on. the heat shield is sheet metal, so you can bend it up to wrap around your o2 eliminator.

Mysheilds weere removed about two months ago, I drove from Louisiana to Laramie ,WY. if you look at my fan blades on the right side they hang like dog ears. they melted from the heat.

what about header wrap? that way you can free up room, stop heat.... and if i must say it... get that RACING look woo hoo
