its no longer about if the T28 is better than or equal to the 16G turbo.

now I just want to know who makes the better T28.

ForcedPerformance? AGP? Turbochargers.com?

Who? Who? Who? Who?

Who makes the best (small) T28?

Who makes the best (big) T28?

is it just me? or do alot of T-28's seem to be breaking? My buddy has had his T-28 for 1month and now the comp wheel is all chewed up? I know that Tom sawyer has also had a recent problem with his T-28 and I know larryD's T-28 took a crap also. I hope this does not get worse?

My Big28 seems to be doing very well, so far. I have put about 3500 miles on it since last year. If I'm not mistaken I think Larry's took a crap because of a failed oil pump.

I have a T28 killer from turbochargers.com, cant say much for 1/4 times though, haven't been to the tracks yet. However, it doesn't seem to pull that hard. Maybe it's just me? I have all fuel support except upgraded injectors.

The injectors are definitly hurting you. I noticed a BIG difference in power when I switched to 550's with my Big28. I was able to go from 15 to 16 psi to 21 to 22 psi.

Mitsubishi makes the best t-28, it's called Big16G :D

Just kidding guys... but I think the small t2 housing is not good for the turbo, I personally have an agp t-28 and i believe it's a good turbo but I will be upgrading soon, so I have to say the bigger you can get, the better. The Big T28 Killer looks like a good idea, I just don't know how efficient it is because of the small ass housing... all these turbos blow a bunch of hot air, reminds me of a hairdryer.

Dual ball bearing all the way for me, they spool quick and make lotsa power :)

Dude You haven't even come close to the power potential of the AGP T-28 YET according to your profile. First of all your only running a measley 15 psi, 2nd your still on the stock 450's, and 3rd your still running the stock smic, and 4th if your 1g bov is not crushed you won't even be able to run much over 18 psi. I just swapped out my uncrushed 1g bov for a GReddy Type-S and it helped me out ALOT. Once you have changed all of those things you will notice a BIG difference. I thought the same as you until I upgraded everything that I just mentioned. I still want a internally gated FP Green though LOL.

The time on my profile 14.5 was done at 22psi and yes my bov holds it and I'm not going to upgrade it. I know the turbo has potential but is it capable of 12s on a FWD A/T ? I don't think so, that's why I'm upgrading. :)

I didn't know that you had a slush box, my bad. Anyways... 22 psi on stock 450's spells disaster if you ask me. I don't know how in the hell you ran that much boost without grenading something. But... if you did run that much boost on a uncrushed 1g bov you are probably 1 out of 10 that can. That is very rare. My 1g bov was brand new from RRE and would not hold anything past 19 psi for crap. I bet that your car pulled so much timing on that run that it's not even funny, especially with that LOW trap speed. IMHO even though your car is an automatic you should have atleast trapped in the triple digits somewhere, if indeed you did run and hold 22 psi all the way to redline.

Hmmm... where did you get this info at? I know that when Brian at FP ran his fwd at 13.06 @ 115 all he had was HKS 264/264 cams a 1g tb, 1g intake manifold port matched, and all the other basic supporting mods. He also ran a crappy 12.95 @ 110 in his awd with the exact same mods. As I said earlier Hor over at DSMTALK.COM ran a 12.4 @ 109 with none of the above supporting mods, and with a supra side mount toboot. 109 is pretty darn good for a awd with just a ported Big28 and basic supporting mods. Larry trapped at 109 in his fwd with 17's, full weight, no cams, and a unported exhaust manifold.

Well a lot of things spell disaster in my car. The exhaust is a legitimate POS, it has a cat and it goes from 3" to 2.5" over the rear axle, maybe even smaller... it sucks ass. Not to mention the o2 housing is not ported. The boost dropped form 22psi to 20psi by the redline but still a lot of boost. The trap speed did suck and I was pretty disappointed with my time overal... I blame it all on the transmission, that time at the track was the hardest I felt it ever pulled on my car. I'm doing the shift kit right now, i want to see how that will help. I think I should be able to run mid 13s after shift kit/fmic/550s/drag radials/ported o2 housing/no exhaust.

This guy named Dean is the engineer of the Translab Shift Kit. But I am getting mine from Charles Monk, which owns www.plymouthlaser.com he is installing the shift kit in my valve body, for total of 255 usd w/ shift kit included. Send him an email, he might be able to help you, he is very nice and helpful. :)
