Who buy's used tranny cores?

I have acouple 1g and 2g Transmissions sitting in my garage that probably needs to be rebuilt. I have no need for them. Does anyone know what shop would buy these?

Did you try emailing any transmission shops? Jacks, Shep, TRE? I'm also assuming these are manual transmissions. Gotta remember, just to ship it could cost around $150. If anything, throw it on the classifieds for someone local to grab it if they can rebuild it.

Or, learn how to rebuild it yourself and upgrade the internals.

Yeah, TRE buys them. I've sold a few there over the years. But, they won't pay much for cores, so you might not even be pocketing any money after paying freight.

Shep Trans bought a core off me a while ago. Just gotta call or email and ask if they are accepting them. Its nice cause I live in ohio and it just a short trip to get there.
