White plugs but smells rich at idle

For some reason my gst has white spark plugs. I no this means its runing lean but at idle i cat even breath if i stand behind the car it smells like gas so much. I no there is alot to check. I already have a new boush o2 sensor and new ngk6es spark plugs. What i dont get is how the spark plugs look almost brand new white but the car smells like its runing rich? Also my car is throwing the ping light when i get into boost most of the times. When the car is halfway warm and i get into boost the car wont show the ping light. Its on dsm link by the way.
 
A wideband would be the only way to know what's going on for sure. Without it we're just guessing.:(

The car was running fine and would only ping every once an a while then just starting getting worse. Im tryin to get a wide band just short on cash for one at the moment.

Lean condition I would assume is becuase you are running 16psi on a 16g. (your profile says nothing about upgraded injectors) If you are running stock 450s, 16 psi on s 16g is too much in my opinion.

Well as of now its on 9 psi an running 880s was tunned at 15 psi i just turned the boost down when i got it. Im not sure how to post a log?
 
Use the Upload/Edit Photos button (you have to use "Go Advanced" rather than a "Post Quick Reply", and select the ecmlink data log saved on your computer

Alright cool thanks. I have to get a new cord so i can plug my laptop up . I also notice my oil smells like gas really bad but my plugs are showing its running lean and the exhaust smells like gas this is just weird.

A: Your rings are going bad
B: You're running very rich
C: All of the above.

I'm not familar with the 16G, but how are you setting your boost that low? Is that the wastegate spring tension? Do you have an ajustable wastegate actuator, or external gate?

Also, did you tune it? Or did someone else tune it?
Finally, how was it tuned with out haveing a wideband?
Personally I would never tune with out a wideband, or at the very least, an EGT gauge.

The turbo has an adjustable internal. I got the car and it had already been tuned by previuos owner at some shop with a wideband o2.

What your saying here makes sense but with my car it dosnt. My plugs are white but the car smells pig rich at idle and i can pull the plugs out right after i turn the car off they are white which they should be black since the exhaust smells like straight gas and the oil smells like gas??
 
Post a good clear picture of the plugs. Rich idleing isn't going to instantly make your plugs black, it happend over time.

If you have 880cc injectors your global fuel setting should be -45%. You'll find that under the fuel tab in the ECMLink software.

Dead time should be ~420μs (what is set in ECMLink could be different. If its within plus or minus 150μs, you should be okay.
