Which turbo on an ALL stock 90 eagle talon tsi awd??

Which turbo would be suitable for me? i am COMPLETELY STOCK as of now. which turbo would worlk well on an all stock car, but still have potential for when i start modding. i eventually want to make about 300 whp. im tyhinking big 16g, but i really am clueless about turo cars. evo 3 16g?? thanks for the help. my car is a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd.

ps. act 2600 clutch w/ street disk and act lightened flywheel is on the way, if that makes a difference. thanks
 
whats your plans for the car? if you plan on getting a bigger turbo down the line just buy it now and dont put it on or run low boost. if you get a game plan youll save money in the long run.
 
like i said above, i plan EVENTUALLY to be around the 300 whp mark, but for right now i just need a good daily driver that performs well on the street with little to no turbo lag. i would go for the big 16g, but my only concern is that it wint work well with my stock car/motor. i wont have a lot of money to spend for a while, but the turbo needs replaced. so i will have to buy a new turbo and drive it like that for a while. what do you reccomend?
 
niiiice. thanks guys. so i can run the e316g with stock fuel pump, stock injectors, etc etc with out any problems? how much boost will i be able to run and still perform good. the 2 things that i AM gonna get right away is a boost gauge and a boost controller.
 
A friend of mine made 309whp on a 14b a couple days ago. So it can be done on a 14b.

It would be easiest with a big16g or Evo3 16g. The evo3 is slightly larger.

You can run that turbo on a stock car but prolly no more than 10psi on stock pump. With a fuel pump you could prolly get 14psi or so. And with a set of 550s 18-20psi should be attainable. Im just guessing here. No matter what turbo you are running exhaust will make a huge difference so get a 3'' turbo back exhaust asap. Also since you wont be able to up the boost until you get a fuel pump you may want to get the pump before the boost controller and gauge.

That could cause him to creep and without a fuel pump, there could be problems.

But yes, you can put it on an otherwise 100% stock car with absolutely no problems whatsoever.
 
I would just get a used 14b or a used 16g from someone that is going bigger. I run mid 13's @ ~100 on a tired 14b and pump gas (full weight including school books and crap). I wouldn't go with the evo16 yet as it doesn't sound like you are financially prepared to take care of other things that arise with a bigger turbo (creep for example).

300 whp on a 14b is not out of reach.
 
I went from 14 b to 50 trim.!! And not convinced just yet that I made the right choice.
The 50 trim does fly when spooled up but it dont' spool up till pretty high in the power band around that 3000 plus mark and the rev limiter comes up pretty quick too.Also think more street friendly type turbos don't have as big a hole between off boost and on.
These cars really have no power off boost.the power to weight is like 1 to 30 off boost and 1 to 15 stock turbo stock boost and 1 to 10 or so with modded 300 at the engine.

Anyway if I had to do it again right now would likely have went for evo 16g.
But my opinions may change after install my cams..get a fmic and mabye alco injection start running the big 50 trim at like 18 to 20..It does have wicked top end!! Right now its seriously fun on the highway.Around town not as much fun though.
